End of the Year Teacher Gift – Summer Survival Baskets
Scratching your head about a Teacher Gift this year? While I usually will take the time to make something (check out the past 2 years of Teacher Gifts here and here), this year there was no extra time to do so. Instead we made my little ones Pre-K teachers a Summer Survival Basket packed with all sorts of goodies to help get them in a Summer/Beachy kind of mood.
Between Target and the Dollar Tree we were able to put these together in just a few hours and after coupons and Cartwheel they were about $25 each. We started with the plastic bins for just $3 each at Target. Next we added a beach towel – we lucked out and found the Nate Berkus Beach Towels on sale and used a Target Cartwheel offer for an extra 30% off! We snagged Neutrogena Sunscreen which was also on sale (you can always check the Coupon Database here for coupons to help out on this purchase), a Mason Jar Glass with Straw, a canister of Country Time Lemonade and a little Grow your Own Sunflower kit (Dollar Spot).
Next we headed to the Dollar Tree. We picked up some cute little pedicure kits, flip flops and found Sally Hansen nail polish to add to the kit. You could also grab a little cosmetics bag here if you don’t have extras at home – I used two bags that I had from the Target Beauty Bags I post about every so often.
We arranged it all in the baskets and then I used PicMonkey to create the little tags. Because of how much photo editing I do I have a paid subscription to PicMonkey but it is not a necessity at all and it is all sorts of fun to use and play around with whether you want to edit a photo or quickly create a printable.
